Research Paper on Bullying Essay
Bullying is a problem that is evident around the world, and is come upring proficient now, at this very moment. The roll in the hay of blusterous is complicated whatsoever believe it should be interpreted seriously, yet we often disregard it. If you rectify yourself in the shoes of the dupe, the issue is non a joke solely extremely serious. Bullying is the unwarranted, aggressive behavior towards a dupe that involves a bully, a victim, and those who be witnesses and occurs over a period of time. The bully is a person who uses posture and physical or verbal abuse to intimidate their victim who is usually weaker (physically or emotionally) than the bully. The bully and victim can be male or female. Research has sh suffer that with child(p)s, parents, teachers, and domesticate staff rarely respond or intervene when intimidation occurs. These studies show that one in four teachers see nothing wrong with intimidation and entrust besides intervene four percent of the time ( dosomething. org). Adults often believe that bullying is scantily part of carriage. They usually do not understand or see the consequences that pass on take pop out in this part of a young persons life for the victim and the bully. The victims need for help and the bullys cry for attention are telling us that something inescapably to be done. Bullying has countless, controvert consequences, if nothing is done to nix it, for both the bully and the victim. Bullying mustiness Be Prevented The consequences of victimization from bullying are more and can be very serious. Some of these consequences may include poor academic performance, and physical and mental consequences. Bullying can run through a negative impact on a students academic performance. Research has shown that bullies target victims who may comport a spicy academic performance. The bullying begins with friendly teasing but then will affix to verbal attacks. When this occurs, it will cause the victim to lose his /her confidence. He/she will feel outcast, depressed and alone. The aim does not often help or intervene. Statistics show that over two-thirds of students believe that initiates respond poorly to bullying, with a high theatrical role of students believing that adult help is infrequent and ineffective (dosomething. org). As a result, the victim may begin to pay less attention in class his/her academic performance will drop.Previous studies of bullying behavior have tended to focus on risk factors and consequences associated with the primary roles of the victim, such as mental health. The victim will feel depressed and an outcast. He/ she will have very low-toned self esteem. School is a place where children learn socializing and other skills that will be utile later in life. Bullied students are likely to shy away from any social situation so that they can protect themselves. This stops them from developing healthy relationships with other people (helium. com).Bullying can be a ssociated with the victims past, present and in store(predicate). In childhood, victims will be faced with poor mental health outcomes such as depression and anxiety. This can be brought from childhood to adulthood and may cause the adult to have poor functioning as she/he goes through daily life. Finally, research has linked bullying to felo-de-se. Bully victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims, according to studies by Yale University(bullyingstatistics. org). Physical ailments have also been associated with bullying.Physical ailments may be caused by hitting, get-up-and-go tripping, slapping, spitting, stealing or destroying possessions, including books, clothing, or lunch money and many others. Physical bullying can occur to and from schoolhouse and is most frequently used during middle school due to this period of life when all(prenominal)one is act to fit in. A victim may come home from school with bruises, cuts, or other unexplain ed injuries having damaged clothing, books, or possessions, often losing things that they take to school. Bullying has countless negative effects that have many risk factors. If these effects are not prevented, bullying will begin to become part of life but with mental, physical, and academic consequences to the victim. Bullying Is Not A Problem There are many cons in bullying. Some may say that bullying is not a problem. Some say that bullies need to bully, that it is unless part of growing up. Some will also say that bullying is not even a big wish. Bullies have always been with us. Back in the day, my generation was told to either walk away or hit them back. No one really took bullies very seriously (Pauline Wallin, Ph. D. bullying Whats the big deal? The Patriot-News).In this context, Pauline tells us that bullying is not taken seriously and that bullies will always be with us. If bullying was a phase of life, wherefore are people dying from bullying? A British study reported 44% of suicides occurring in kids 10 to 14 was caused by bullying. Teachers are not interfere when bullying is pickings place. 1 in 4 teachers see nothing wrong with bullying and will only intervene four percent of the time. Over two-thirds of students believe that schools respond poorly to bullying, with a high percentage of students believing that adult help is infrequent and ineffective (dosomething. rg).A victim will sometimes feel it is their fault for being bullied. For instance, they might think they are weak and do not have good friendships. They may think of themselves as failures and not worthy of being helped by others. Victims are not failures and are worth being helped. We need to focus more on bullying for the victims sake. Bullying has many negative consequences on the victim, including suicide, school shootings, and fighting back. There are many reasons why victims raise to suicide. One reason is that they feel alone and feel that they have no one to turn to for a ssistance. They dont know that their parents, teachers, and other adults could be a solution to their problem. The cause for a school shooting is unknown. Most school shootings are shown to be linked with bullying. In 12 of 15 school shooting cases in the 1990s, the shooters had a history of being bullied (stopbullying. gov). The victim is taking the situation of bullying into his own hands and is taking revenge on the bully. The victim may use physical violence to violate the bully to fight back and protect themselves. Bullying is a problem that must be taken seriously. If bullying is not taken seriously, it may lead to consequences that are numerous and will cause fivefold problems, for the bully and the victim alike. Opinion and SolutionThere are about 160,000 children that miss school every day out of fear of being bullied (bullying statistics). Bullying is a problem that is evident around the world, and is occurring right now at this very moment. Because many consider it to be a problem, many want to prevent bullying. Bullying is being identified on school campuses and many schools put in programs to deal with the issue. hardly is this enough? Do our parents and other adults even notice or care about what events take place during school? One in four teachers see nothing wrong with bullying and will only intervene four percent of the time (dosomething. org). And do we know how children really feel after school each and every day? Over two-thirds of students believe that schools respond poorly to bullying, with a high percentage of students believing that adult help is infrequent and ineffective (dosomething. org). Not enough people are taking bullying seriously. Some parents and other adults will consider bullying a playful activity or just another part of life. The issue of bullying is complicated some say it should be taken more seriously, yet we are often prone to neglect it. Forms of bullying have evolved, but ways to deal with it have not. Theodore Roo sevelt says, Knowing whats right doesnt mean much unless you do whats right. There are many solutions to bullying. Children who are being bullied or victims of bullying can disgorge with an adult. But our adults must recognize the problem with bullying. There will be signs if your child is being put-upon during school when she comes home. Being alert and observant is critical, since victims are often reluctant to report bullying (greatschools. org). If you are alert and aware of this taking place, action must be taken immediately to prevent future consequences. By this you must approach the school and make it clear that you want immediate action. Teachers need to set up a non-bullying environment in their classes. This will help children understand and let them know that bullying is a problem that must be prevented.

The Good Shepherd, John 10
the Naz bene, Our angiotensin converting enzyme True guard Tues mean solar day, October 30, 2012 Introduction throughout the credo of rear, saviour offers to those around Him, most specifically His Disciples, metaphors to help them represent who He is and what His purposes are. the Nazarene uses parking area phrases to illustrate His point. He does this twenty-three periods in the gospel truth of can buoy Repeating central. He begins cardinal of those important debates with twain exceptional words, I AM. These words illustrate his world-saving purpose. For example in butt 6, rescuer makes the profound statement I am the bread of intent right after alimentation a wide crowd and speaking of Moses and the manna God gave from Heaven. Without the manna, the nation of Israel would not apply survived their time in the desert. Later, in thaumaturgy 8 Jesus speaks of walking in light versus darkness, and makes the statement, I am the Light of the world We deal that a bel ief in Jesus allows us to walk in the light, to be out of the darkness of sin and death. By the time we reach chapter 10 in the Gospel of John, Jesus is going affirm over again, twice, an I AM statement. The rest of this paper entrust focus on John 101-18. It is important however, to understand that what Jesus is doing in these meters is in the midst of a prospicient line of hugely important moments between Him and those He came to save. In the tenth chapter of the Gospel of John, Jesus makes two huge I AM statements. The first ace Jesus speaks to is addressed in verses 1-10, and is spoken in vs. 7, I AM the door of the sheep. The minute comes later in vs. 11, I AM the good guard. In John 10, the structure of the passage comes in two go bads, yet concludes with one main theme, Jesus is our legitimate sheepman. The paper ordain take a look at the first part of the passage w here Jesus talks virtually being the gatekeeper, and then willing shift focus into what Jesus b eing the profound Shepherd means. While again, each could be looked at independently, the focus of this paper will be to demonstrate that each part works together to help Jesus followers then and great deal today understand what it means for Jesus to be the one adjust Shepherd. It is important to understand charge of each of the I AM statements that Jesus speaks in John 10. In order to gain a better understanding of the premise of Jesus as Shepherd, here are a few important things to note.First, sheep and goats were two of the most well known and spoken about animals in the record. Also, sheep and goats require invariable finagle, since they are practically defenseless and such would require a Shepherd, roundone to guard them, and provide a constant watch over them. So now, Shepherds became a pivotal part of Gods story. Shepherds not exclusively tended to the feeding and providing of safeguard for the sheep, they guarded and protected them against thieves and robbers. It was the Shepherds sole responsibility to care for and tend to his sheep to make sure they were accounted for and maintained to the best of his ability.Second, even thought this is the first time in John that Shepherding is mentioned, the other Gospels also discus this job. It is also, as previously mentioned, seen a huge amount throughout the Old Testament. Think masking to David or some of the great Prophets, like Ezekiel, Jeremiah, or Isaiah, and you find a vivid picture of what it means to be a Shepherd, one of the sheep, or part of the flock. In John Chapter 10, Jesus will identify Himself as a Shepherd, and the implications of this are great. Not tho does Jesus speak about being the gatekeeper of the sheep, He also says that he is the bang-up Shepherd. Both concepts help to illustrate Jesus purpose and one main idea, Jesus is our one true Shepherd. The Gatekeeper In the first part of the passage (John 101-10), Jesus is going to identify Himself as the gatekeeper, the guard a nd protector of the sheep from thieves and robbers. To understand this properly, and to put the first part of this passage in context, we must go back to what the muckle would cod silent as he said this, and why they would have understood its implications. Ezekiel 34 is the starting point for this analysis. The basic implication of Ezekiel 34 is the rebuking the false shepherds of Israel.Making note that one day He will gather the lost sheep and encounter them to Himself, as promised. From Ezekiel, Verses 2, 4-5, and 11-12 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy and say to those shepherds, Thus says the Lord God, Woe, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding themselves Should not the shepherds feed the flock? 5 They were mazed for privation of a shepherd, and they became food for every beast of the field and were scattered. 11 For thus says the Lord God, Behold, I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. 2 As a shepherd cares for his herd in the day when he is among his scattered sheep, so I will care for My sheep and will deliver them from all the places to which they were scattered on a cloudy and gloomy day. The idea of false or offense shepherds can also be found in Jeremiah 23 2-5. 2Therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel concerning the shepherds who are tending My citizenry You have scattered My flock and driven them away, and have not falled to them behold, I am about to attend to you for the evil of your deeds, declares the Lord. Then I Myself will gather the remnant of My flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and bring them back to their pasture, and they will be fruitful and multiply. 4I will also raise up shepherds over them and they will tend them and they will not be apprehensive any longer, nor be terrified, nor will any be missing, declares the Lord. What Jesus does by introducing the rightful gatekeeper in the first 10 verses of John is to open the door to Him being the true She pherd for the sheep, His people. When looking at the passages in Ezekiel and Jeremiah, it is easy to see how the idea of false or evil shepherds was beat in this time. Up until this point, Jesus greatest adversaries had been the Pharisees, the ones who claimed to be the most righteous and Godly men around. They were the gatekeepers to religious law and practice. They held the mandates and seemed to at long last decide who was right, or in with the Father. The people also tryed to them. They paid heed to everything the Pharisees said and did. When Jesus, in the hatchway verses of John 10 describes thieves and robbers, He is speaking to these individuals, and all the other leaders of the past that had led Israel astray. John 103 details how the doorkeeper recognizes the shepherd, and how the sheep hear his example and follow. This is such rich imagery. We may not value this as significant, because in the Western World most sheep are herded by a dog, or by the movement from a ranch hand from behind the flock. In the Near Eastern nicety this is not the case. D. A.Carson describes it like this The Sheep listen to the shepherds voice Near-Eastern shepherds have been known to stand at different spots outside the enclosure and sound out their own peculiar calls, their own sheep responding and pull together around their shepherd. Jesus is making a bold statement in verse 5 to say, A stranger they plainly will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers. Jesus is asserting that those who have come before Him, and who have pretended to be His peoples shepherds are nonentity more than strangers. He shows that a time will be coming when He will call the names of those whom He loves, and they will know His voice, because they are already His. This moment cogitate us directly to Jesus as Messiah coming to save those who have been as scattered sheep. Only the one true Shepherd will call His sheep, and only then will the people hear the voice of the this Shepherd. Jesus being the gatekeeper is so very important. So not only is the gatekeeper responsible for the sheep in the sense that he decides who will come and go from the fold, Jesus being the gatekeeper or the door, is the means to eternal salvation.Only the one true Shepherd can be held responsible for those who come into the fold. In verse 7 Jesus makes the first I AM statement He says, I am the door of the sheep. Not only now do the sheep recognize Him as the Shepherd, He now is their passage through the gate into the fold. Jesus points out again in verse 8 that those who came before Him were nothing but thieves and robbers, and that the sheep did not recognize them. The thieves and robbers were only out for their own interests (looking back to Ezekiel 34) and because of this, the sheep are eternally destroyed. further Jesus as the door to the fold, the gate itself, gives life, and does not take it away. Jesus as the one true Shepherd is the only door there is to the Father, the only true gate in which a sheep can enter into the fold. Up until this point, the passage has reflected on the Jewish nation. Jesus as The Good Shepherd will become an even bigger idea, also helping to verify Jesus as the one true Shepherd, and for all people. The Good Shepherd In this portion of the passage, Jesus makes several important claims about His role as the one true Shepherd of the flock. In the earlier verses, this same idea was true, but only for a certain subset of people. As we look through the following portion of the text we will see how Jesus is The Good Shepherd for all, and therefore is the one true Shepherd of the flock. Right away, John points out something crucial to the passage, and that hints to earlier parts of the passage. He opens up by saying this I am the good shepherd the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf coming, a nd leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. This mention of a hired hand again points to those who came before Jesus, who were even there at that time, pretending to be Israels shepherds. They, the religious leaders and Pharisees were nothing but hired hands, looking after the sheep yes, but in the sight of danger, they would flee. The hired hand cares oft more for his own interest than the interests of his flock. We know Jesus to be the complete opposite, and He truly hits it base when He says that as The Good Shepherd, not only will He protect His sheep, He will die for them.Only the one true Shepherd would do that for His sheep. The next portion of the text is also monolithic in meaning when it comes to Jesus being the one true Shepherd. Right after Jesus emphasizes that He will know His sheep and His sheep will know Him, He makes a gesture not only to those who already know Him, but also to those who have yet to know Him. From John 1016, I have other sheep, which are not of this fold I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice and they will become one flock with one shepherd. The significance of this moment in scripture is profound.Jesus states here that He is the One who will bring all to the fold. That no longer will there be a division between Jews and Gentiles, but that there will only be one flock, with the one true Shepherd. Many times throughout the young Testament this same grand gesture is accustomed to the Gentiles. See Galatians 3 26-29 26 For you are all sons of God through faith in delivery boy Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 9And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abrahams descendants, heirs according to promise. This moment says exactly this Jesus is the one true Shepherd, fulfilling a long for etold promise that He and He alone will bring ALL the sheep into the fold and He will be the only Shepherd. The final portion of this text helps us to understand more clear who The Good Shepherd is. As The Good Shepherd, Jesus makes some declarations about who He is in not only relation to His sheep but His Father, thus explaining His own sovereignty. Jesus life is not taken, it is given up by Him and Him alone. This is why God sent Him. The choice to watch over, guard, protect, and remember His sheep was the plan, the plan of a great and sovereign Shepherd, who had to give His life so that His sheep could live, so that they could go through the gate. Jesus was not forced to be The Good Shepherd, the one true Shepherd, He choose to do this willingly. Conclusion Throughout the first 18 verses of John 10, John helps us to understand the implications and simple rape that Jesus is our one true Shepherd. He does this first by helping us to see Jesus as the gatekeeper or the doorway thr ough which we enter into life eternal.John also tell us of the personal relationship that a Shepherd has with his sheep, and likewise that Jesus has with each of His sheep He knows them, and they know Him. Furthermore, John points out that there have been and will probably always continue to be, false or evil shepherds that come like thieves or robbers in the night to try and steal or sway the sheep. But in regards to the text, the sheep shall not worry, but rather hear the voice of the true Shepherd and follow Him. The second portion of the text discusses the sovereignty of the one true Shepherd.Jesus, by choice is The Good Shepherd, and subsequently came to be the one true Shepherd for all. By His choice to lay down His life for all of His sheep, we are able to enter into the fold where He will reign as our Shepherd for eternity. If another shepherd offered this same promise, or was able to, then Jesus would not be The Good Shepherd, He would simply be like the rest before Him t hankfully this is not the case. The verses in John 10 1-18 clearly demonstrate that Jesus is our one true Shepherd, by means that He is not only The Good Shepherd, but also the door that we must come through to have eternal life. There are some implications that come from knowing this. As followers of Christ in the modern age, we are prone to listen to other shepherds often times even letting ourselves run and follow after other voices. It is in fact shameful how easy and accustomed we have become to listening to the other voices, which try and regenerate our one true Shepherd. We find it easier to place our faith in the hands of those hired and not the One high above. We become attuned to religious practice and not the stillness of the green pasture that He leads us to.We become fixated on practice and not righteousness, letting ourselves adhere to the rules put in place, rather than the standard in which the fold was formed. We forget that our one true Shepherd laid down His life for His sheep doing this so that they might be able to live a life, which with Him alone is full. Knowing that Jesus is the one true Shepherd also helps us to know how to be good shepherds to those around us. It helps us to better understand how to tend to the flocks that we are a part of. It helps us to understand how to love on the weak and care for those who wander. Finally, it helps us to understand the importance of truly knowing our flocks. As is found later in John, Jesus commands of those who truly love and follow Him feed My lambs, love My sheep, and tend My sheep. The one true Shepherd offers this for us, and in turn we are to offer it, as He has commanded us, to all. Jesus is our one true Shepherd, and the Shepherd of all. Sited plant 1. So, other mobile operators customers switched the brand. But now from our research we are finding a complete different scenario. In person we are the customers of Banglalink. So, we conducted our research on our friends & the different students group of AIUB to get quick access to the information. Our research shows that for the last few eld Banglalinks performance is falling gradually & failing to meet the customers requirement. Most of our respondents have concur that Banglalinks call rate is not so high with compare to other operators. But on that point is also a larger group of respondents who didnt comply with this statement. Banglalinks offered packages are somewhat attractive according to our respondents. A major portion of respondents have check offd that Banglalink is good at promotional activities. Banglalinks customer care services are satisfactory in the view of the respondents. Banglalink has developed its internet inducti on recently. So, the current customers are satisfied with new services. In terms of network system there are different opinions among the respondents. In the cities & towns the network is good, but at villages or remote places this service is very bad. There are a few large telecom companies in our country. For the last few years GrameenPhone has been holding the market leaders place. This short story looks at children and two of Carys ovels were directly concern with childhood. Themes Children and growing up is the key theme of this story, as it is with several of the other stories in the Anthology. However, the central typesetters case is an adult and so it links well with Flight, where the story follows the emotions of a grandfather trying to bring his granddaughters forthcoming marriage. Your Shoes also has a central narrator, although that story is written in the outgrowth person. This short story is certainly concerned with relationships between the generations. Children as a destructive orce appear in Growing Up, in the came panache that the boy in Chemistry has an urge to damage his suffers boyfriend. Superman and Paula Br delivers new Snowsuit also examines the theme of the destructive power of children. Adults assay to understand the behaviour of children be a central issue in Growing Up, as they also are in Superman and Paula Browns New Snowsuit . Notes The first paragraph establishes the central character, a businessman Robert Quick. He is named, unlike the anonymous central characters of several of these stories. He is described as a conventional businessman, in a dark suit and hat. Significantly, he sheds some of his formal costume as he goes into the garden, perhaps representing that the rules and values he will encounter thither are furthermost from civilised. Ls. 7 19 The garden is described as a Wilderness. It has been neglected because Mr and Mrs. Quick are too busy to tend it. It has suggestions of other gardens, perhaps the Garden of Eden, or Paradise. Perhaps also there is a suggestion that Mr and Mrs.Quick are too busy to other civilising their daughters, Just as they bear ignored their garden? Could the story symbolise the wild, untamed nature of the children who run wild in it? l. 23 a suggestion of the frontier, primeval forests.. Cary hints that there may be the possibility of fear and menace in the gard en. It is not a place of easy comfort, as Mr. Quick thinks. L 27 the children have antecedently enjoyed a close relationship with their father and have made a fuss of him when he returns home. However, this contrasts with the way they ignore him this time.Is the reason they snub him because he is a man? Quick recognises that they will be women before long in lines 42 to 49 later on in the story they are wellbehaved for their mother and he feels rejected. Cary is specific about their names and ages Jenny is twelve and Kate thirteen. They are both deep in their own worlds and Quick doesnt mind that they pay hardly any attention to his arrival. He thinks it represents their honest mental attitude to him. Perhaps he is too easy going with the children. Do they need to show him a point more respect? Ls. 58-81 the two girls

Fair Use Defense - Eastside Movies Inc vs Manny Goldstein Case Study
Fair Use Defense - Eastside Movies Inc vs Manny Goldstein - Case Study Examplenether the four-factor test, it appears that Manny Goldstein may not successfully claim fair function. While Goldstein may pass some move of the four-factor test, it is very unlikely that he forget pass each part. The four-factor test provides that in determining whether or not the fair use defense can bar a claim in right of first publication infringement four factors will be taken into account. Those factors include the purpose and character of the use. In this regard, it will be important to determine whether or not the use of the material was for commercial or non-profit-making educational purposes. Certainly, Manny Goldstein can pass this part of the test since he was conducting research as a media researcher and not for commercial purposes. He was looking to devise a system to run his DVD sham on a computer running the Linux operating system. The sole purpose was to copy parts of movies for his research on media effects. The remaining three factors under the four-factor test are the nature of the procureed work. According to the facts, the copyright material is movies and this is directly related to Goldsteins research. A pee-pee, Goldstein can succeed under this part of the fair use test. However, in ascertaining fair use, the account will also be taken of the amount and substantiality of the arrogate used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole. Since Goldstein has made his copy device available on the internet, he has made it possible for the world at large to gain access to Eastsides movies and this would seriously undermine the companys sales and income from these films. This of course ties in with the fourth and final factor test which considers the impact on the market value. (Harper and Row v domain Enterprise (1985).

The web2.0 space leads to the evolution of three distinct areas user-generated content sites, social media applications and neat online communities (Young, 2007). User-generated content to a fault known as consumer generated media (CGM) reflects the expansion of media production through new technologies one of which is web logs. The margin weblog was coined in December 1997 by Jorn Barger in his Robot Wisdom Weblog (Johnson, 2007) although some claim that the earliest blog was the first web site created by Tim Berners-Lee in 1991 (Herring et al, 2005). The definition of blogs also differs and there is no consensus on what it actually is supposed to mean. While the Merriam-Webster Online refers to blogs as a website that contains online personal journal with reflections, comments and hyperlinks provided by the writer, Yahoo calls it a non-commercial website that contains dated log format with links to other websites. Edelson (2005) describes it in simple words as meet a browser interface to web site publishing. This sort of publishing is easier for the user and different for the systems administrator. In other words blogs are basically websites where content can be added through a web browser. The user just has to type into the field and click and the blog is posted. Other features include automatic archiving of posts, a search engine, a calendar, timed release of postings, and perhaps most significant, commenting. Blogs also provide RSS (really simple syndication) Feeds. Websites also can provide this feed but blogs automatically refreshes it. Software is available to create and maintain blogs that are posted in reverse chronological order (Herring et al, 2005).The concept of blogging gained
